Beats From Your Pastor’s Heart
Matthew 11:29, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
To take the Lord’s yoke means to inwardly stay with Him and consult with Him.
Do not consult with your mind.
Do not use your mind to consider or deliberate about your environment.
The Lord says, “Learn from Me.”
So you ask, “Lord, what is in this calamity for me?
Lord, what is in me that You are trying to touch by allowing this whirlwind to come?”
Then stay under the yoke.
Do not resist it.
The Lord is saying, “Inwardly learn from Me. Touch Me. Consult with Me.”
Do not resort to your mind and say, “This should not have happened.”
Do not hope for a better day.
Do not blame, but begin learning.
Begin touching Him.
Go inward.
“Learn from Me,” He says, “for I am meek and lowly in heart.”
To be meek means to not resist any opposition.
So the Lord is saying, “I am a Person that does not resist.
If you stay in the Spirit when you are under the yoke, touching Me and learning from Me, then you will not resist.
You will just stay there.
You will lie there.
You will simply say ‘Amen.’
You will say, ‘Yes, Father. It seemed good to You. It seemed pleasing to You.’
This means you will learn from Me by touching Me.
If you touch Me, you will find that I am not resisting.
I am not fighting.
Also I am lowly.
That means I am not proud.
I am not asserting Myself.
I am not vindicating or defending Myself.
I am not trying to hold up the self.
I am the One who is not resisting, who is lowly in heart.”
This is the Lord Jesus in Matthew 11:25-29.
