Beats From Your Pastor’s Heart
In John 14:19, Jesus says, “Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.”
This means that even after Jesus is no longer physically present on earth, His followers will continue to experience His presence and life within them.
Our connection with Jesus is spiritual, and this bond is what makes us able to hear and understand His guidance.
The verse “Because I live, you will live also” highlights that our spiritual life comes from Jesus.
We are united with Him in spirit, which means that His life is within us, guiding and sustaining us.
This spiritual union is described in 1 Corinthians 6:17, which says, “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
This oneness with Jesus gives us an awareness of His presence and direction in our lives.
This concept is also reflected in John 4:14, where Jesus talks about giving living water that becomes a fountain within us, leading to eternal life.
When we accept Jesus, His life flows within us like a spring, influencing our thoughts, motives, and actions.
This inner awareness of His life is how we hear His voice and align ourselves with His will.
Practically, this means that as we go about our daily lives, we can sense Jesus’ presence and guidance in our hearts.
By staying connected to Him through prayer, reading the Bible, and being mindful of His influence in our decisions, we can live in harmony with His voice and purpose for us.
