CHANGE A KID’S LIFE FOR ETERNITY!
What an incredible journey this has been at the Arise conference! I want to extend my deepest thanks for your unwavering support and prayers. Each day has brought new blessings and profound moments with God. Last night, we witnessed an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that touched every heart in the room. Our youth are experiencing God in ways they never have before. Some have committed their lives to Christ for the first time, while others have felt a strong call to ministry and missions.
The energy and excitement here are indescribable. Our young people are coming home with renewed faith, a deeper understanding of their purpose, and a passion to serve. Your prayers and support have been instrumental in these life-changing experiences. As we head home, please continue to pray for these young hearts. God is doing something truly amazing, and we want to see it continue to flourish.
We look forward to sharing all the incredible stories and testimonies with you on Sunday. Thank you once again for your generosity and vision in making this possible. Please make an extra effort to thank Paul and Melissa Smith, Kim McClain and Scarlett Byrd for their team efforts to love and help the kids this week.
Beats From Your Pastor’s Heart
Romans 6:4, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
In Christ, we are given a new identity.
The old has gone, and the new has come.
This new identity calls us to walk in the newness of life, reflecting the attributes of Christ in all we do.
This transformation is a profound change that influences every aspect of our lives, from our thoughts and actions to our purpose and relationships.
The transformation of Saul to Paul illustrates the profound change that occurs when we embrace our new identity in Christ.
Saul, once a fierce persecutor of Christians, encountered Christ on the road to Damascus and was transformed into Paul, a fervent apostle of the Gospel.
In Acts 9:20, after his encounter with Christ, Paul immediately began to preach the gospel, demonstrating his new life and purpose in Christ.
“And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.”
This radical change showcases the power of Christ to renew and repurpose our lives for His glory.
EMBRACE YOUR NEW IDENTITY:
Accept that you are a new creation in Christ.
Reflect on 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
This new identity is a gift from God, and embracing it means letting go of past sins and failures, and stepping into the freedom and purpose that Christ offers.
LIVE WITH PURPOSE:
Recognize that your new life in Christ comes with a purpose.
Seek to understand God’s calling for you and live it out daily.
Ephesians 2:10 reminds us, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Living with purpose means aligning your actions with God’s will and seeking to serve Him in every aspect of your life.
REFLECT CHRIST’S ATTRIBUTES:
Strive to reflect the attributes of Christ in your thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Colossians 3:12-14 encourages us, “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.”
By embodying these qualities, we become living examples of Christ’s love and grace.
SHARE YOUR TESTIMONY:
Share the story of your transformation with others.
Your testimony can be a powerful tool to lead others to Christ.
Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
Your personal story of how Christ has changed your life can inspire and encourage others to seek Him.
Living out our new identity in Christ means walking in the newness of life every day.
By embracing our new identity, living with purpose, reflecting Christ’s attributes, and sharing our testimony, we can impact the world around us for His glory.
This continuous journey of transformation not only brings us closer to God but also serves as a beacon of His love and power to those around us.
PRAYER
Father, help me to fully embrace my new identity in Christ. Empower me to walk in the newness of life, reflecting Your love and grace in all I do. Use my testimony to bring others to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
ASSIGNMENT
Today, write down your testimony of transformation in Christ.
Reflect on how your life has changed and identify key moments of growth.
Share your testimony with at least one person this week, encouraging them with the story of your new identity in Christ.
Let this act of sharing be a testament to the power of God’s transformative grace in your life.
