APRIL THEME – “SEEING THE RESURRECTION FROM GOD’S PERSPECTIVE”
BEATS FROM YOUR PASTOR’S HEART
ACTIVATE WHAT IS ALREADY IN YOU
Romans 8:11 — “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you…”
YOU ARE NOT LACKING, YOU ARE NOT ACTIVATING
Many believers spend their lives asking God for something He has already given them. They pray for power, plead for strength, and wait for a breakthrough—while the very power they are asking for is already present within them. The issue is not that God is withholding anything; the issue is that what He has provided has not been recognized, embraced, or activated. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is not visiting you occasionally—it dwells in you continually. That means you are not trying to get power—you are learning to live from the power already placed inside of you.
POWER IS NOT THE PROBLEM
The problem is not that you are weak—the problem is that you often live unaware of what is within you. Romans 8:11 makes it clear that resurrection power is already dwelling in you. That means the strength you need for today, the grace you need for this moment, and the ability to overcome what you are facing is already present. Too many believers live as if they are empty, when in reality they are full. You are not trying to become empowered—you already are. The shift happens when you stop looking outward for what God has already placed inward.
SURRENDER ACTIVATES POWER
Resurrection power does not flow through control—it flows through surrender. As long as you are trying to manage everything, fix everything, and hold everything together in your own strength, you limit what God is trying to do through you. But the moment you release control and yield to Him, His power begins to move freely in your life. Surrender is not weakness—it is alignment. It is saying, “God, I trust You more than I trust myself,” and stepping back so His strength can step in. What you surrender, God strengthens. What you release, God empowers.
AGREEMENT RELEASES POWER
There is a direct connection between what you believe and what you experience. When your thinking aligns with God’s truth, His power begins to operate naturally in your life. But when your mind is filled with fear, doubt, and contradiction to His Word, you block what He is trying to do. Agreement is not just mental—it is spiritual alignment. It is choosing to believe what God says over what you feel. When you begin to think differently, you begin to live differently. Power flows where agreement is present.
Imagine sitting in a room where electricity is fully available. The wiring is complete, the power is flowing, and everything needed for light is already in place—but the switch is never turned on. The room remains dark, not because power is absent, but because it has not been activated. In the same way, many believers are surrounded by the power of God and even indwelt by His Spirit, yet continue to live as if they are powerless. The issue is not availability—it is activation. And the moment the switch is flipped, everything changes instantly.
POWER IS WAITING ON YOUR RESPONSE
You are not waiting on God to give you more power—God is waiting on you to respond to what He has already given. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is already within you, ready to strengthen, guide, and empower you in every situation. But that power is experienced when you become aware of it, surrender to it, and align with it. This is not about striving—it is about yielding. The moment you stop trying to produce in your own strength and start trusting what is already within you, you will begin to live in a way you never have before.
WARFARE PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus, I come into agreement with Your Word. I declare that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in me, and I refuse to live as though I am powerless. I surrender every area where I have tried to take control, and I yield fully to Your Spirit. Break every mindset of weakness, every lie of insufficiency, and every pattern that keeps me from walking in what You have already provided. I choose to align my thinking with Your truth, to trust Your strength over my own, and to walk in the resurrection power that is already within me. From this moment forward, I will not live beneath what You have placed inside of me—I will walk in it, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
DAILY CHALLENGE
Identify one specific area of your life where you have been trying to control the outcome—whether it is your thoughts, your emotions, a relationship, or your future. Surrender that area to God today, and intentionally choose to respond differently. Instead of striving, pause and say, “The power of God is already at work within me.” Then take one step of obedience that reflects trust, not control.
