APRIL THEME – “SEEING THE RESURRECTION FROM GOD’S PERSPECTIVE”

Romans 8:11 — “…the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you…”

Most believers live as if they are waiting on something from God—more strength, more clarity, more breakthrough. But Scripture makes it clear: if you are in Christ, you are not waiting on power… power is already in you. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives within you. The problem is not that you lack power—the problem is that you have not fully surrendered to it. Resurrection power is not something you are trying to reach—it is something you are called to walk in.

The moment you were saved, God did not give you a portion of His power—He placed His Spirit within you. That means you are not facing your life alone. You are not trying to overcome in your own strength. The same power that broke the grave now lives in you. Yet many believers still live as if they are weak, defeated, and unable. Not because power is absent—but because truth has not been embraced. You must stop seeing yourself as powerless and start seeing yourself as indwelt.

You don’t need more of God’s power—God is waiting for more of your surrender. Resurrection power flows where control is released. The more you try to manage your life in your own strength, the less you experience His. But when you yield—when you say, “Lord, I cannot, but You can”—that is where His power begins to operate. Many are striving for breakthrough while resisting surrender. But power is not activated by effort—it is accessed through yielding.

The resurrection is not just something to celebrate—it is something to live in. It is not reserved for church moments—it is designed for daily life. That power shows up when you choose patience instead of anger, faith instead of fear, truth instead of lies. It may not feel dramatic, but it is deeply transformational. The more you walk in it, the more your life begins to reflect it.

Imagine someone sitting in a house fully wired with electricity, yet living in the dark because they refuse to flip the switch. The power is present, available, and ready—but it is not being used. That is how many believers live. God’s power is in them, but they are still functioning as if it is not. The issue is not whether power exists—it is whether it is being accessed.

Resurrection power is not distant—it is dwelling within you. You are not waiting on God to give you something new—He is waiting on you to walk in what He has already given. The question is not, “Do I have power?” The question is, “Will I surrender to it?” What you yield to today will determine how you live tomorrow.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I reject every lie that says I am weak, powerless, or unable to change. I declare that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in me. I surrender my will, my control, and my strength to You. Break every stronghold of self-reliance and awaken me to the power already within me. Let Your Spirit lead my thoughts, my choices, and my actions today. I will not strive—I will surrender. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Start your day with this declaration: “God’s power is in me today—I will walk in it.”

Then, when you face something difficult:
          Pause
          Surrender
          Respond in obedience

Because the power you need … is already in you.
