CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET?

Sunday is Mae’s birthday, and I am calling it, MAE DAY! We will open with one song, Bro. Brian from Calvary Children’s Home will preach a powerful, God anointed sermon.

AND THEN

When the offering starts, we are going to party down for my sweetie.  She is so deserving of the best. She is amazing.  I love her so.  We will then give you a chance to testify and tell how she has blessed your life.  Nothing about me, only her.  U must be brief because everyone has a Mae Story.  Everyone must come to the microphone so the folks on livestream can hear or see.  If you want to bring her a gift, she needs nothing, she has me lol.  However, u may bring her a gift.  Try to make it no more expensive than Dollar Tree.  She always thinks she knows “EVERYTHING” about the church.  Help me to surprise her.  Because we are going to have so much fun and everyone has a praise for the most amazing woman ever, we will start the service at 10:00 AM with no Sunday School.  She is going to hate all the attention and I love it for her.  She is so deserving.

Daily Beats From Your Pastor’s Heart:

Romans 5:5, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

This verse tells us that the love of God is a dispensed thing.

It is not a worked-up thing.

We do not try to find it in ourselves.

The love of God is a poured-out reality.

But what is the nature of the experience of that love in our hearts on a daily basis

How does it feel to have the love of God poured out in our hearts?

To appreciate the nature of this poured-out love and what it is like to enjoy the Lord according to this love-life, we need to read the context of Romans 5:5.

Romans 5:6, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

“For while we were yet weak”.

This is the condition on which the love is poured out–not when we are strong, but while we are yet weak.

Note the second part of this verse: “in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

If you are ungodly, you are a prime candidate for the love of God.

Maybe you are thinking miserable things about yourself–that you hate yourself for the things you have done.

You wish you had not done them, but you did.

You did some ungodly things that you would not want anyone to know about, and you hate yourself for it.

But listen to what this verse says: “Christ died for the ungodly.”

You are the very kind of person He shed His blood for.

Despite what you have done, He loves you!

This shows us the nature of the poured-out love in our hearts.

Until Tomorrow

With a Shepherd’s Love
