EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO OFFER

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” — 1 Corinthians 12:7

In John 6, a young boy showed up with what looked like an insignificant offering—five barley loaves and two small fish. In a crowd of thousands, it seemed laughably small. But when placed in the hands of Jesus, that simple lunch became the seed of a miracle. Not only were thousands fed, but there were twelve baskets of leftovers. God doesn’t need something big to do something great—He needs something surrendered.

You may think your gift is too small to matter. But in God’s kingdom, availability often outweighs ability. A note of encouragement, a warm meal delivered in love, a whispered prayer, a ride offered, a kind word spoken at the right time—these are not small things. They are seeds of eternal significance. Don’t compare your offering to someone else’s—just bring it to Jesus and watch Him multiply it. Your obedience is what He blesses, not your impressiveness.

A quiet teenager volunteered to run the PowerPoint slides during worship. He didn’t speak much and rarely drew attention. Most people barely noticed him in the booth. But one Sunday, a visitor approached with tears in her eyes and said, “The Scriptures on the screen during that last song touched me so deeply, I gave my heart to Jesus.” What seemed like a routine task turned into a divine moment of salvation. The boy didn’t preach, but he helped someone see Jesus—and that’s the power of offering your gift.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the unique gift You’ve placed in me. Forgive me when I’ve doubted its value. Help me to offer it freely, faithfully, and joyfully—even if no one sees but You. Take what I have and use it to bless others and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Challenge: Do one simple act of service today that you might normally overlook—whether it’s holding the door, sending a text, or praying silently for someone. Trust that no act done in love is ever wasted.

Reflection Question: What small gift or ability have I been holding back, thinking it wasn’t important enough to use? What’s one way I can offer it to the Lord this week?
