This final Sunday of Missions Month was not just a conclusion but a defining moment. For the past several weeks, we had prayed, listened, and been challenged to see the world as Christ sees it. Then, the time came to act. Would we let these messages fade as just another sermon series, or would we step forward in faith, obedience, and sacrifice? The needs are urgent—millions are yet to hear the name of Jesus, missionaries are waiting to be sent, and lost souls are perishing without hope. That day, eternity is shaped by our response. What we chose to do with what God had placed in our hands will determine how many more will hear the gospel. We know this is not about comfort or convenience—it is about souls. In the quiet depth of our determination, we recognized that every act of obedience echoes into eternity. Our united hearts transformed each choice into a beacon of hope, illuminating the path for generations yet unborn.

Throughout the month, we had witnessed unforgettable moments—stories of sacrificial giving, faith-filled obedience, and God’s miraculous provision. From the testimony of a missionary who almost never made it to the field due to a lack of funds to the widow’s offering that proved God’s faithfulness, we saw how every act of giving carries eternal weight. Children lead the way with joyful generosity, longtime givers stepped out in even greater faith, and individuals answered the call to go. Then, as we stood together, the question remained: Was He worthy? With one voice, one heart, one church, we declared: He is. And then, we gave—not out of obligation, but out of love, because He has always been worthy of our sacrifice, our obedience, and our all. Belmont Church, we gave like we truly believed it. And as we did, we knew that God would take what was given, multiply it, and use it to reach the lost until the whole world had heard. Sunday was not the end—it was only the beginning. In every selfless act, we discovered a divine rhythm that connected us to the eternal promise of new life. Our collective giving became a covenant with the Divine, a pledge to sow seeds of hope that will flourish far beyond our sight.

A DEFINING MOMENT OF OBEDIENCE

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” – Isaiah 6:8

Isaiah stood before the Lord in profound awe of His holiness—a reverence that left him trembling at the sheer magnificence of God’s presence. When the Lord’s voice resonated in the stillness, asking, “Who will go for us?” Isaiah’s heart responded without hesitation. He surrendered completely to God’s calling, leaving behind the security of the familiar, unaware of the challenges and sacrifices that lay ahead. His brave, unreserved response not only marked the beginning of a transformative ministry but also set a timeless example for all who are called into missions, demonstrating that true obedience is forged in the crucible of faith.

Imagine a missionary standing before a congregation, recounting a personal journey of wrestling with God’s call. Years ago, he found himself torn between the comforts of a secure life and the daunting challenge of venturing into an unreached people group. In the midst of fear, doubt, and the allure of personal comfort, his soul was stirred by a divine whisper that demanded a courageous “yes.” When he finally uttered the words, “Here am I, send me,” it was as if a door had swung open to reveal a path illuminated by God’s promise. That moment of surrender not only transformed his life but also paved the way for thousands to hear the gospel, each soul touched by the ripple effect of his obedient step into the unknown. His story reminds us that moments of bold obedience have the power to change lives and shift the course of history.

Today, the question echoes as it did in the ancient corridors of time: Are you willing to say, “Here am I, send me”? God’s call may not always lead us to distant lands; it might invite us to participate in missions through heartfelt giving, fervent prayer, or steadfast support for those venturing into the world. Reflect on your own life—consider the ways in which God may be calling you to step beyond the boundaries of comfort and into a deeper, sacrificial relationship with His mission. Your willingness to surrender your resources, time, and heart can ignite a spark that brings hope to the darkest corners and transforms lives across the globe. True obedience requires us to trust that every sacrifice, no matter how small it seems, contributes to a larger tapestry of redemption and love.

Prayer:  Lord, I come before You with a humble heart, yearning to be a willing servant of Your mission. Help me to respond without hesitation when You ask, “Who will go?” Grant me the courage to step out in faith, even when the path is unclear and the journey demanding. Equip me with the wisdom and strength to support Your work—whether through prayer, giving, or service—and let my life reflect a complete surrender to Your divine calling. May I be a light that draws others to You, and may every act of obedience serve as a testament to Your everlasting love. In Your holy name, Amen.
