Praise the Lord! We’ve been blessed to see someone come to salvation every week for the past six weeks. Sunday, Natalie Garner came forward to place her trust in Christ as her personal Savior, leaving behind years of relying on a false profession.

BEATS FROM YOUR PASTOR’S HEART
CONFIDENCE IN OUR SECURITY IN CHRIST
Romans 8:16, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.”
In the Gospel of John, we see the apostle John referring to himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved” (John 13:23).
This title wasn’t one of pride but rather an expression of his confidence and security in his relationship with Jesus.
John’s identity wasn’t built on his achievements, but rather on the love that Jesus had for him.
He knew that he was loved unconditionally, and that knowledge gave him assurance and strength.
This sense of security allowed John to remain close to Jesus, even at the cross, when others had fled.
His story reminds us that our confidence rests not in what we do but in who we are to Jesus.
Life can often bring challenges that cause us to question our worth or our standing with God.
Doubts about our value or whether we are truly loved can creep in.
Yet, God’s Word assures us that we are His children, loved and secure.
Romans 8:16 tells us that the Holy Spirit continually bears witness to our spirit, confirming that we belong to God.
This truth is unchanging, regardless of our circumstances or feelings.
When we rest in this identity, we find the strength to face trials with a sense of peace, knowing that nothing can separate us from God’s love (Romans 8:38-39).
Picture a young child holding their parent’s hand while navigating a crowded place.
The child doesn’t worry about getting lost because they trust that their parent will lead them safely.
Likewise, our security in Christ is like holding God’s hand, confident that He will never let us go, no matter what obstacles we encounter.
We are never out of His reach or sight.
The love of God is a constant, steady anchor in every storm, reminding us that we are held securely in His embrace.
PRAYER – Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me Your child. Help me to remember that my worth is secure in You, and that nothing I face can separate me from Your love. May Your Spirit continue to reassure me of my identity in You, grounding me in peace and strength. Amen.
ASSIGNMENT – Set aside time today to read Romans 8:38-39, which assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
Reflect on how this passage applies to any doubts or insecurities you may be facing.
Write down any areas where you need a reminder of God’s unchanging love, and meditate on His promises.
