THE LOVE OF JESUS

Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Imagine a young man, burdened by regret.

He’s made mistakes, hurt people he loves, and feels unworthy of forgiveness.

His heart is heavy with shame, and he wonders if anyone could truly love him knowing all that he’s done.

Yet, Jesus’ love is greater than his regret.

Jesus died for us while we were still sinners.

He didn’t wait for us to fix ourselves or become perfect.

His love met us in our brokenness and made a way for us to be redeemed.

Just as Jesus met the young man in his darkest moments, He meets each of us right where we are, offering grace and a second chance, regardless of our past.

Jesus knows everything about you—every failure, every bad decision, every hidden sin—and He still chose to die for you.

His love is not conditional; it isn’t based on whether you’ve lived a good life or have cleaned up your mess.

He loves you simply because of who He is, not because of what you’ve done.

The cross is a reminder that His love is unfailing, and no sin is too great for His grace.

Jesus is calling you to come to Him just as you are—no need to fix yourself first.

His love will embrace you in your imperfection and transform your heart.

Experience His forgiveness today and let His love fill the empty spaces in your life.

Picture yourself standing in front of a mirror.

You see every flaw, every mistake, all the things you wish you could hide from the world.

You might feel ashamed or unworthy of love.

But now imagine Jesus standing beside you, looking at the same reflection.

He doesn’t point out your failures or make you feel less than.

Instead, He looks into your eyes and says, “I love you, and I died for you.”

His love isn’t based on the reflection in the mirror—it’s based on His grace, and that grace covers all your sins.

PRAYER

Jesus, thank You for loving me even when I felt unlovable. Your sacrifice on the cross reminds me that I am forgiven and deeply cherished, not because of what I’ve done, but because of Your great love. Help me to receive that love fully and to share it with others, knowing that Your grace is greater than all my sins. Amen.

ASSIGNMENT

Spend some time in prayer, reflecting on the depth of Jesus’ love for you.

Thank Him for His sacrificial love and for dying on the cross for your sins.

Then, share that love with someone today.

Reach out to someone who needs to be reminded that Jesus died for them too and offer them a word of hope and encouragement.
