Picture a young man standing by his best friend’s hospital bedside, hands trembling as he watches life slip away. They had shared years of laughter and dreams, always believing there would be more time. But now, in this moment of desperation, he realizes how fragile life truly is. Time is running out, and with it, the chance to say what really matters. For so long, they avoided talking about faith, thinking it could wait. Now, as his friend clings to life, the young man is overwhelmed with regret—he never shared Jesus with him. The opportunity to offer his friend the hope of salvation is gone, a reminder that we are not promised tomorrow. Jesus isn’t just offering a better life—He’s offering to save our souls from eternal separation from God. Like the young man, maybe you’ve put off this decision, thinking there’s more time, but Jesus is still calling, offering you a way out of darkness.

Jesus knows your past, your burdens, your sins, and He’s ready to lift the weight from your heart. Picture yourself, like that man standing on the edge of eternity, carrying a heavy load of guilt, regrets, and missed opportunities. Jesus, arms outstretched, calls to you, not asking for perfection, just for you to come. The relief He offers is immediate, freeing you from burdens too heavy to bear alone. This is not about following a set of rules; it’s about accepting the love and forgiveness of a Savior who died for you. Time is slipping away. Don’t wait. This could be your last chance to experience His life-changing love—come to Him now, while the door to salvation is still open.

THE URGENCY OF SHARING THE GOSPEL

James 4:14, – “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”

The young man stood beside his best friend’s hospital bed, overwhelmed with regret for not sharing Jesus with him when he had the chance.

He believed they always had more time, but the harsh reality was now undeniable—time is fleeting.

The Bible reminds us in James 4:14 that life is like a vapor, appearing for a moment and then vanishing away.

The young man’s missed opportunity serves as a sobering reminder that we do not know how long we or our loved ones have.

We often take our relationships for granted, believing there will always be another chance to talk about faith, share Jesus, or be a light.

We procrastinate, thinking, “I’ll share the Gospel next time.”

But what if that next time never comes?

Who is that one person in your life that needs to hear the message of salvation? Don’t delay—eternity is at stake.

Imagine your life is represented by an hourglass, and with every second, grains of sand slip away.

Each grain is a missed opportunity to tell others about the hope and salvation in Jesus.

The sand never stops flowing—so how will you use the time you have left?

PRAYER

Lord, give me the boldness and urgency to share Your Gospel with those around me. Help me not to wait, thinking I have more time, but to recognize the fleeting nature of life and the importance of sharing Your truth today. Amen.

ASSIGNMENT

Write down the names of three people in your life who don’t know Christ.

Spend time in prayer for them and ask God for a divine opportunity to share the Gospel with at least one of them this week.
