IS HE WORTHY?

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” – Revelation 4:11

In the book of Revelation, we witness a majestic scene where all of creation—angels, elders, and the living creatures—fall before the throne of God, lifting up voices in unison to declare His supreme worthiness. This heavenly chorus not only recognizes the creative power of God but also exalts Jesus, the Lamb who was slain, as worthy of all praise, honor, and obedience. His sacrifice and redemption stand as the ultimate testament to a love so profound that it redeems all of humanity. If the entirety of heaven proclaims His worthiness, we are called to mirror that same reverence and dedication in our own lives.

Imagine a world-renowned artist who spends countless hours creating a masterpiece—an artwork so intricate and full of beauty that it captures the very essence of life. Now, picture that the artist offers this treasure to a dear friend, only for the friend to casually set it aside, treating it as if it were of little importance. How much greater would it be, then, to declare with our lips that Christ is worthy, yet fail to offer Him our best through acts of obedience and sacrificial living? Just as the masterpiece deserves to be cherished and displayed with honor, so too does our Savior deserve every ounce of our commitment and effort.

We must ask ourselves: Do our daily actions reflect that Christ is truly worthy of our highest devotion? It is not enough to merely speak words of praise—our lives must demonstrate our belief. Missions, our service, our giving, and our sacrifices should all be acts that honor Him. This means that in every decision we make, every act of kindness, and every moment of service, we must recognize that Christ is the center. We are reminded that our obedience is not a burden but a privilege; a way to show that our lives belong to the One who gave everything for us. Today, let us choose to live in such a way that every aspect of our existence proves beyond doubt: He is worthy.

Prayer: Jesus, You alone are worthy. We thank You for the sacrifice that brought us redemption and for the boundless love You continue to shower upon us. Help us to honor You with our lives—to give, to serve, and to sacrifice not out of mere obligation but out of deep, heartfelt love for You. May every action, every word, and every decision reflect Your glory. Use us to bring Your light to the nations, that all may come to know Your infinite worth. In Your holy name, Amen.
