ETERNITY IS AT STAKE
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15
Our hearts must understand that eternity is at stake, and every moment matters. Paul’s life stands as a powerful example of this urgency in missions; he dedicated his entire life to spreading the gospel, enduring hardship, persecution, and great suffering because he knew that without Christ, souls were lost forever. His relentless passion and boldness are a constant reminder that time is short and that every soul matters immensely. Imagine standing on a vast shore and watching thousands of people drowning in an endless ocean, knowing that you hold a lifeboat capable of saving them. Yet if you hesitate because of fear or discomfort, countless lives slip away into darkness. This vivid picture mirrors our reality today—souls are perishing while we, as believers, hold the lifeline of the gospel. Every one of us is called to act, whether through fervent prayer, generous financial support, or by stepping out boldly to share the message of salvation. Missions is not solely the work of designated missionaries; it is the responsibility of every follower of Christ, a call to compassion and action that transcends our personal comfort. Do you live each day with the weight of this eternal truth? Are you moved by the urgency to reach out, to save, and to serve, knowing that every moment counts in the battle for souls? Let us then commit ourselves wholeheartedly to this divine mission, embracing the call to be beacons of hope in a world desperate for redemption.
Prayer: Lord, ignite within me a burning passion for the lost. Help me to see that eternity is real and that every soul is precious in Your sight. Grant me the courage to act, whether by praying fervently, giving generously, or personally sharing Your gospel with those around me. May I be filled with the same urgency and commitment as Paul, so that my life becomes a beacon of hope for others. Strengthen me to overcome any fear or hesitation, and let Your Word be my guide as I reach out in love. I pray that You use me mightily in Your mission, saving souls and bringing glory to Your name.
