I stand for everything opposite of what you, as a born-again believer, hold dear. While you cling to God and biblical principles, I’m determined to vote for leaders and policies that aim to undo the very foundation of biblical values that shaped this nation. I reject the sanctity of life, traditional marriage, and the belief that God has any place in our laws or schools. I believe in a world where faith is removed from public life, and I will vote to ensure that future becomes a reality.  Make no mistake—I will be there on election day, casting my vote. I’m not apathetic, nor am I indifferent to the battle for this country’s future. I’m committed to pushing back against everything you stand for as a Christian. I will vote with the full intention of dismantling the values that America was built upon.  So my challenge to you is this: Will you stand by and let it happen? If I and others like me are determined to vote, can you afford to sit this one out? The future of your faith, your values, and the very principles you hold sacred are on the line. The question is not whether people like me will vote—we will. The question is whether you will rise up, take responsibility, and vote for the truth you believe in.  The choice is yours. Will you let your voice be drowned out, or will you stand firm and defend what you know is right?  Remember this: while I am working to erase the influence of faith from public life, you have the power to protect it. It’s not just about policies or political battles—it’s about preserving the right for you and future generations to worship freely, to live out your faith without fear, and to ensure that biblical truths continue to shape this nation. This is more than an election—it’s a stand for what you believe God has called you to protect. The question is—will you?

THE CALL TO TOTAL SURRENDER

2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

When we come to Christ, the Bible makes it clear that we become something entirely new.

This isn’t a surface-level change or a mere adjustment in behavior; it’s a deep, spiritual transformation.

But for this transformation to take hold, it requires our total surrender to the will of God.

We must move beyond simply acknowledging Christ’s work in us and actively yield every part of our lives to His control.

What Does Total Surrender Look Like?

Surrender means giving up the areas of your life that you have tried to control or that you’ve kept hidden from God.

It’s not about asking God to simply bless our plans, but it’s allowing Him to rewrite the script of our lives entirely.

We live in a culture that encourages self-sufficiency, independence, and control, but the way of Christ calls us to surrender all these things at His feet.

Three Key Areas Where Total Surrender is Needed:

Our Past:

Many of us struggle with letting go of our past mistakes, feeling shame or guilt. But 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that, in Christ, the old has passed away. God doesn’t hold our past against us, and neither should we. When we surrender our past to Him, we no longer let our failures define us. Instead, we live as the new person He has made us to be.

Our Present:

Surrendering the present means giving up the need to control our daily lives. Each day is a chance to trust God’s wisdom over our own. As the Lord’s Prayer says, “Thy will be done” (Matthew 6:10). We must choose every day to hand over control and trust that God’s plan is perfect, even if we don’t understand it.

Our Future:

The future is often the hardest to surrender. We want to control what’s ahead—whether it’s finances, health, or relationships. But when we surrender our future, we trust that God knows best. Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34). Surrendering means trusting God’s provision and moving forward in faith without fear.

A powerful example of total surrender in Scripture is found in the story of Zacchaeus, a tax collector who had spent his life pursuing wealth through dishonest means.

Zacchaeus was notorious for taking more than what was owed, and his pursuit of riches had cost him the respect of his community.

But one encounter with Jesus changed everything.

When Jesus called Zacchaeus down from the tree, He didn’t merely ask Zacchaeus to make a few adjustments to his lifestyle—He called him to a total transformation.

In response, Zacchaeus declared, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold” (Luke 19:8).

This act of giving away his wealth was more than a simple act of restitution; it was evidence that Zacchaeus had surrendered everything to Christ—his money, his status, and even his very heart.

Zacchaeus’ story teaches us that true surrender leads to tangible, radical change.

He gave up the very thing that once defined his life—wealth—and replaced it with something far greater: a relationship with Jesus.

This is what total surrender looks like—releasing what we once thought was essential and receiving the fullness of Christ in return.

Surrender is not a one-time event.

It is a daily, moment-by-moment decision to yield to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

It’s easy to think we are in control of our lives, but the reality is, we often cling to control out of fear, pride, or mistrust.

The Holy Spirit desires to lead us into all truth and give us the strength to live out the new life we’ve been given.

But He can only do this if we let go and trust Him to guide us.

Three Practical Steps to Surrender Control to the Holy Spirit:

Start with Prayer:

Begin each day by asking the Holy Spirit to guide you. Pray for help in letting go of your plans, worries, and desires, and trust God’s will. A simple prayer could be, “Lord, I give this day to You. Help me trust and follow You in every decision.”

Live Open-Handedly:

Surrender means being willing to let go of anything God asks of you—your plans, relationships, or resources. Trust that His plan is better than yours, like Zacchaeus, who gave up his wealth because he found something greater in Jesus.

Trust God’s Timing:

God works in His own time, not ours. Surrendering means being patient and trusting that even delays are part of His plan. He will fulfill His promises, even when it feels hard to wait.

Take a moment to examine your heart and ask yourself: What am I holding back from God?

Are there areas of your life where you’re still trying to maintain control?

This week, commit to surrendering one specific area of your life to the Holy Spirit.

Whether it’s your future, your relationships, your finances, or your fears, lay it down at His feet and trust Him to lead you.

PRAYER
Lord, I come before You, acknowledging that I often try to control the areas of my life where I should be trusting You. Help me to fully surrender my past, my present, and my future to Your perfect will. I ask for the strength to let go of fear and pride and to trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Just as Zacchaeus found true joy in surrendering everything to You, may I also experience the peace and freedom that come from a life surrendered to Your hands. In Jesus’ name, amen.
